This workshop gives a broad introduction to cooking with grains, pulses, sprouts, fresh seasonal vegetables and various cooking styles and techniques and leaves room for plenty of discussion on why and how.

Who takes the workshops?

 

International healing chef and writer Jane Sen and Nutritional Therapist and Speaker Fran Stockley are hosting Cuisine Vivante workshops at various venues throughout the UK.

 

Who is this workshop for?

 

  • How can I cook healthy food for myself and my family that is tasty?

  • What types of foods do I need to eat to heal my health condition?

  • How can I cook good quality healing food on a budget?

  • If you find yourself asking these questions then this workshop is for you!

 

Cuisine Vivante workshop attracts cooks of all abilities from those that cook each day to those who can’t remember the last time they prepared a meal! People from all backgrounds attend including homemakers, students of nutritional healing, those healing themselves, those healing and caring for others and those who want to live a happy and fulfilling life.

 

Where do the workshops take place?

Cuisine Vivante workshops take place all over the UK. To maintain a relaxed and social atmosphere they are run in large residential kitchens. What will be covered in the day?

 

The day will run from 10am-4pm and will include:

  • An Introduction to Healing Foods Talk

  • Getting to know Vivante Ingredients

  • Preparing the Vivante food

  • Lunch-eating living food!

  • Your burning questions answered

 

An Introduction to Healing Foods 10.15-11am

Hear Fran Stockley introduce the nutritional healing philosophy that could turn your health around for good. You will start to see food in a different way which will change the way you create and match ingredients in the future.

Getting to know Vivante food 11.15-12pm

The practicalities of Cuisine Vivante. What does living food look like, feel like and smell like? Where do I buy it, how much will it cost me and can I cook like this everyday? A practical session to really get your hands on the food and your senses alert!

Preparing Vivante food 12-2.30pm

This is the main part of the day. A chance to learn from the professional and watch Jane Sen cooking from the heart! Learn the preparation and cooking techniques required to keep natural food whole and healing. With the help of the group and assistance from Jane and Fran you will prepare and cook a portion of the day's menu!                  

Lunch-eating your Vivante creation! 2.30-3.30pm

Having learnt the nutritional value of your Vivante food, its healing capacity and how to prepare and cook it you will now have a chance to taste your creation! In the relaxed kitchen atmosphere you will sit down in good company to a Vivante feast with your hosts Fran Stockley and Jane Sen.

Your Burning Health Questions Answered 3.30-4pm

What is the one health question you have always wanted answered? Now is your chance to receive guidance and suggestions from Fran and Jane.

 

How Much does all this Cost?

 

The whole day, including the instruction, the food and lunch from a leading Chef and Author, along with questions and answer session with one of the top Naturopathic and Nutritional Therapists costs just 50 GBP per person, with a 10 GBP discount for each subsequent place. Jane's Philosophy

Jane Sen has designed a unique and very effective style of creative, healthy eating.  Using really fresh whole foods she has developed delicious recipes to inspire a passion for life and bring you energy and well being.

Much of the information available on the subject of diet and health can be confusing and sadly, conflicting.  Jane’s clear and down to earth approach will help to clarify many of the areas that can often obstruct us when we are thinking of making the change towards a healthy, enjoyable style of eating.

Jane has combined her 25 years of experience as a professional chef with up to date research into the power of nutrients to combat illness and maintain good health.

Her priorities in choosing and developing recipes are firstly, that they must taste delicious - "our food should nourish us but not be separate from the absolute joy of living" - and secondly that they are easy to produce in a  modern, busy world.

Our food can play a leading role in the prevention, management and recovery from, coronary disease, strokes, high blood pressure, diabetes, asthma, eczema, cancer, urinary disorders, nervous complaints and stress, reproductive problems, skin conditions, high-risk weight imbalance and infection.

One in three people in the developed world are predicted to contract cancer.  We now know some of the causes of cancer.  Genetic dispositions, stress, infection, environmental factors, smoking, obesity, lifestyle and diet being well researched.  Often a combination of factors at a stressful period of our lives can be the trigger.  Most of these causes are beyond our control - the way we eat can always be in our control.  Everybody has to eat - its a wonderful way to change the odds in your favour.
